Animated Customer Brief Case Study
I was tasked with creating a series of animated short films designed to provide safety advice to customers before participating in activities. These films were displayed onsite, shared via email, and made accessible on YouTube and the national website. The goal was to deliver clear, engaging, and on-brand safety instructions to ensure participants understood the key guidelines.
Design and Development
The project required building all elements from scratch, starting with character design. Each character was carefully crafted to navigate the films, visually highlighting key instructions for customers to follow. I also designed the forest environments, course elements (such as ladders and ziplines), and integral components of the safety system, including harnesses, signage, and the course layout. All elements were designed to align with the brand while maintaining clarity and functionality for instructional purposes.
Using Adobe After Effects, I animated each scene based on an existing script, ensuring all key points were covered and synced precisely with the voiceover. The animations needed to strike a balance between being visually engaging and appropriately serious given the subject matter. Throughout the process, I adhered to the brand guidelines, ensuring the final output was both professional and effective in communicating the necessary safety information.
